Oak Leaf Linen Napkin

£27.00

The majestic oak is king of the woods. It grows slowly and lives long, a symbol of strength, wisdom, honour and nobility it is entwined in our culture, history and hearts. It supports a huge diversity of wildlife from owls, woodpeckers, squirrels and bats to butterflies, bees and more. Its acorns are a rich source of protein for many mammals and when the leaves fall in winter they form a rich mulch, nourishing the soil.

Underground its roots spread many times greater than its canopy and are intertwined with a symbiotic mycorrhizal fungi essential for the life and health of all trees in the forest.

Hand painted by our Founder and Creative Director, Caryn Hibbert, all of our original prints depict the flora and fauna that inhabit Thyme’s garden, farm and wild spaces. The prints are then repeated by her husband, Jerry, before being scaled by our expert team in Lithuania onto beautiful, washed European linen.

Our napkins are 50cm x 50cm in 100% washed European linen.

40 degree wash, no steam, do not bleach.
