Entertaining Lives- The Nancy Astor & Nancy Lancaster Cookbook

Nancy Astor was the first female Member of Parliament, elected in 1919 and her niece Nancy Lancaster was the celebrated designer, famous for her collaboration with John Fowler and the decorating firm

Colefax & Fowler. Both women entertained at a pitch perfect level of style, sophistication and joie de vivre, their inspiration derived from theLanghorne family home, Mirador, in West Virginia USA.

Part of their secret has been discovered in the pages of an antique family cookbook, where now the recipes have been adapted for the modern cook, with freshly commissioned photography by Andrew Montgomery highlighting glamorous table settings (using original china), flower arrangements and interiors, shot on location at their country houses - Cliveden, Ditchley Park, Kelmarsh Hall and Haseley Court.

We are thrilled to have our Bertioli Cherry Blossom table cloth on the front cover of this book.
