This beautiful handcrafted linen fabric is decorated in the bunches of Sidalcea flowers and hand painted by our Founder, Caryn, taking inspiration from the flowers in the cutting gardens at Thyme. Add a flowery look to the walls and compliment with plain coloured fabrics or with the Sidalcea design which is a larger scale print presented in rows of Sidalcea bunches as they would grow in the gardens.

And, not that we needed science to prove it, but it has been shown in research studies that flowers really do make us happy. This philosophy is at the heart of our Cutting Garden habitat.

Key Botanicals

There’s something undeniably joyful about filling a home with freshly cut flowers. From a delicate fragrant posy to the statuesque, bright and bold. Unashamedly boisterous and wonderfully floriferous, our patterns and scent are inspired by the cutting gardens at Thyme.As cool mists and birdsong rise over the river, we gather armfuls of seasonal blooms, the fresh, green scent of verdant leaves, sappy stems and all manner of fragrant blooms fills the air. This collection for the home embodies the very essence of an English country garden.

Sidalcea

A hardy annual that resembles small and dainty hollyhocks, sidalcea are part of the mallow genus of plants that includes cotton.Their upright and elegantly arching stems are smothered in silky pale pink flowers that continue to produce more blooms for weeks on end from their numerous side branches.With delicately serrated leaves they last very well in the vase and are loved by butterflies and bees.

How to order

The price £185 is per metre so the quantity ordered equals the amount of metres required. Our fabrics are printed to order and have a lead time of 4 to 6 weeks. We hold stock of some ranges. Please enquire with the boutique regarding any fabric designs that may be available for immediate dispatch. We recommend the 360gr weight for upholstery and the 255gr weight for soft furnishings.
