Our pretty Pink Phlox pattern has been painted from the Cutting Gardens at Thyme by our Founder, Caryn, and the design is finished in a piping. Mix and match with the square or frill shapes in the same design.

And, not that we needed science to prove it, but it has been shown in research studies that flowers really do make us happy. This philosophy is at the heart of our Cutting Garden habitat.

There’s something undeniably joyful about filling a home with freshly cut flowers. From a delicate fragrant posy to the statuesque, bright and bold. Unashamedly boisterous and wonderfully floriferous, our patterns and scent are inspired by the cutting gardens at Thyme.As cool mists and birdsong rise over the river, we gather armfuls of seasonal blooms, the fresh, green scent of verdant leaves, sappy stems and all manner of fragrant blooms fills the air. This collection for the home embodies the very essence of an English country garden.

Phlox

Sweetly scented with colours ranging from whites and the palest pink through to deeper rose and various hues of blue, phlox have long and sturdy stems making them an ideal cut flower.Lasting beautifully in the vase they can be picked from May through to late summer and are a favourite not only of our florist Sophie but also the bees and butterflies that dance over the rows of blooms all summer long.

About this collection

Our cushions, printed and made by hand in England, feature our patterns of nature on lovely linen fabric. Each design is hand painted by Founder and Creative Director, Caryn Hibbert, from nature that grows on the Cotswolds estate that is the Home of Bertioli: Thyme. Inspired by the timeless charm of English country house style, these cushions can be layered for a maximal, pattern-on-pattern look or used to add a subtle splash of colour to pared-back interiors—bringing the beauty of the natural world and a touch of measured maximlaism into every room.

Cushion Cover: 100% Linen. Dry Clean Cushion Pad: 100% Cream cotton cambric lining, waxed to help prevent feather leakage. European duck feathers. Spot clean with damp cloth. Air dry.

Origins

Our Bertioli fabrics are made from sustainably sourced linen. We use digital printing in a London factory, a process which minimises run-off and wastage. The fabric is then sent 30 miles to our cushion makers who machine sew them into beautiful designs before their end destination at Thyme. Our Duck Feather Cushion Pads are handmade to order in Sussex, England . The European duck feathers are ethically sourced and fully traceable right back to the farm, to ensure the humane treatment of birds, protection of human rights and environmental impact throughout procurement with the whole process being audited and certified.
