Inspired by our water meadows at Thyme and designed in combination with the other prints in this collection, our Founder, Caryn hand painted stunning yellow iris flowers and grasses growing up the fabric as it would in nature to create this stunning interiors collection of fabrics and wallpapers.

Offered in two scales this print works well with the matching wallpaper or compliment with a different scale. This design also work beautifully with our Willow and Rivermint designs.

Key Botanicals

The water meadows at Thyme are a very special place. As you stroll through the long grasses, buttercups, and orchids, the air is filled with the heady scent of wild water mint. On the river banks, yellow flag iris bloom and willows gently sway in the breeze. In winter, the land often floods, transforming the landscape and renewing the rich ecosystem. Meadowlands are the UK's most biodiverse habitat, supporting incredible ecosystems of birdlife, insects, and mammals.

Through our work with ornithologists, we know that the meadows are home to an array of migratory birds including warblers and cuckoos. Travelling from far flung places such as Sub-Saharan Africa, these birds are a golden thread to habitats across the world.

Yellow Iris

Glimmers of sunshine in swathes of hazy reeds, the beautiful, buttery yellow iris thrives along the banks of wild waterways. With their tall, elegant silhouette and fondness of wetlands, yellow iris are sometimes known as a water flag. Not only a beauty, but iris are also an important part of a biodiverse ecosystem with the ability to act as water treatment by taking up macronutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus through its roots.

How to order

The price £185 is per metre so the quantity ordered equals the amount of metres required. Our fabrics are printed to order and have a lead time of 4 to 6 weeks. We hold stock of some ranges. Please enquire with the boutique regarding any fabric designs that may be available for immediate dispatch. We recommend the 360gr weight for upholstery and the 255gr weight for soft furnishings.
